CRAFTMANSHIP

CORDUROY

Placing great trust in the craftsmanship and expertise of the people who work in its laboratories, the brand has included in the collection a selection of garments made from fine fabrics processed exclusively by expert hands fully, aware of the history behind every single fabric used and every item produced.

This season, the use of velvet is extended to the G4 in Corduroy 500 Waves: made entirely of cotton, this fabric’s main characteristic is its softness to the touch and its ability to reflect in the natural light. In addition to echoing the classic features of this veritable icon, it is worth noting that it is also padded with a Thermore lining produced from completely recycled materials. The colour palette is varied and rich in shades, to underscore the play of velvet in the light. The blazer, also in Corduroy 500 waves, features a number of details from the English hunting jackets of yesteryear (such as side adjusters and multiple front pockets) to endow the piece with a more versatile look suitable equally for the city or for outdoor use.

The collection is further enriched by the use of printed patterns, such as Blackwatch and Paisley, these quintessentially British motifs going hand in hand with Italian excellence in terms of quality materials and craftsmanship.

Blackwatch is a classic British pattern, here used on velvet trousers and important pieces such as the iconic G9 and G4 jackets. The second design, which breaks away from the use of colour block, is Paisley, also a classic but here reinterpreted in a contemporary and unconventional key, as in a camouflage print. This pattern also features on velvet trousers and a G9 and a G4 jacket.
The Paisley design is available in two colours, one in shades of burnt umber and the other of blue, to be matched with the Blackwatch.

BLEND WOOL

The wool line includes two different types of wool: a blend and a wool supplied by one of the world’s leading woollen mills, Abraham Moon.
Midway between classic and modern, the wool blend garments use recycled scraps to give life to new fabrics and materials.

This part of the collection is marked by two designs. The first is the classic herringbone, here presented in a bold maxi version. Available in three basic colours (brown, grey and dark brown), the models in this line are the famous G9 Harrington Jacket, the Bal Coat, inspired by the G10 but enriched with a waist belt and a more comfortable and contemporary fit, and a slightly padded overshirt that can be used either as overwear early on in the winter season, or as an additional layer in the colder weather.

The second design chosen for the wool blend line is the pinstripe.

A classic typically worn by English gentlemen, in this collection it is interpreted unusually, in a drive to set new standards of contemporary living.

The design features on:

-    a G9 Harrington Jacket, offered for the first time ever in this fabric;
-    a wool-blend G12, as an alternative to the ‘Baracuta Cloth’ version;
-    a deconstructed, more informal blazer, also featuring in the corduroy line;
-    a complementary pair of trousers, with front pleats, wide legs and 25cm hems.
